Ingredients
Oops! Something went wrong. Our team is working on it.
1 (17.5-ounce) package refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing (5 rolls)
1 teaspoon chili powder
10 slices bacon
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
Unroll cinnamon roll dough. Sprinkle evenly with chili powder, then separate along perforations into 5 portions.
Cook bacon in a very large skillet until just starting to crisp, about 7 minutes. While bacon is still warm, lay 2 slices on each dough portion; roll up. Arrange in the prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven until browned and tops appear dry, about 25 minutes. Frost with icing. Add desired toppers (if using). Serve warm.
Toppers:
Spicy maple syrup: Bring 1/2 cup pure maple syrup and a pinch of crushed red pepper to a boil in a small saucepan. Reduce heat; simmer, stirring occasionally, until reduced slightly, 3 to 5 minutes. Drizzle over frosted rolls.
Candied nuts: Up the sweet factor with sugar-coated walnuts. Halve the recipe (or make a full batch and freeze leftovers up to 3 months). Sprinkle candied nuts over frosted rolls.
Kettle-cooked potato chips: Gently crush crispy kettle chips—we recommend barbecue flavor—and sprinkle over frosted rolls.
