This simple apple pudding recipe has been handed down through the years from mother to daughter. When you are in a hurry and have very few staples on hand, you may want to give this dessert a try.

Ingredients
6 tart apples – peeled, cored and sliced
¼ cup all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 pinch salt
2 cups milk
Directions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
Toss apples with flour, sugar, and salt; place in a 9×9-inch baking dish. Pour in just enough milk to reach the top of the apples, without covering them.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until apples are tender.
Cook’s Note
Serve either hot or cold.
It is good plain but better with milk, cream, whipped cream, or lemon sauce.
