1 1/2 pounds ground beef
3 large green peppers, grated on the large holes of a box grater, or in a food processor
2 large onions, chopped
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 (19.75 ounce) cans pork and beans, such as Campbell’s® Pork and Beans
1 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Cook and stir ground beef, green pepper, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper together in a large skillet over medium-high heat until beef is browned and crumbly, about 10 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
Stir in pork and beans, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour into a 9×13-inch baking pan. Cover with foil.
Bake in the preheated oven until hot and bubbly, about 1 hour.
