This is the best slow cooker chicken recipe ever, and I’ve tried many of them. I can’t remember where I originally got it; my version has been slightly tweaked. I don’t like mushrooms, but the mushrooms in the condensed soup are really big and easy to take out. Serve over hot cooked rice.

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed golden mushroom soup

1 (8 ounce) container chive and onion cream cheese

½ cup dry white wine

1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix

4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts

Directions

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; stir in mushroom soup, cream cheese, wine, and salad dressing mix until hot, smooth, and combined.

Place chicken breasts in the bottom of a slow cooker; pour cream cheese sauce over top. Cover slow cooker. Cook on Low until chicken is tender, about 4 hours.
