Kentucky Derby Bourbon Punch Recipe

Original recipe (1X) yields 32 servings

Base:

34 fluid ounces bourbon

1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed

1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed

¼ cup lemon juice

¼ cup maraschino cherry juice

1 ½ liters club soda

1 lemon, sliced

½ cup maraschino cherries, halved

Directions

Stir bourbon, orange juice concentrate, lemonade concentrate, lemon juice, and maraschino cherry juice together in a pitcher until combined.

Pour bourbon mixture into a punch bowl; stir in club soda, cherry halves, and lemon slices.

Tips

You can also make an ice ring to place into the punch bowl to help keep the bourbon punch cold. Remember, it will dilute the punch as it melts, so keep a little extra bourbon on hand to add as needed. 

Ingredients needed to make the ice ring: 1 12-ounce can frozen lemonade concentrate, 1 sliced orange, 1 sliced lemon, 1/2 cup maraschino cherries. Prepare lemonade according to the package directions.

Pour lemonade into a Bundt pan, a glass, or a plastic bowl. Lay orange and lemon slices in layers in the lemonade, then top with maraschino cherries. Freeze overnight. To remove the ice ring from the pan or bowl, place it in warm water in the sink until it loosens from the container. Place in the punch bowl, then pour the punch over it.
