1 pound ground beef

1 cup cornmeal

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 (14.5 ounce) can cream-style corn

1 cup milk

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1 onion, chopped

2 jalapeƱo peppers, chopped

1 egg

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Coat a 9X12-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef; cook and stir until no longer pink. Set aside.

Whisk cornmeal, salt, and baking soda together in a large bowl. Stir in corn, milk, Cheddar cheese, onion, jalapeƱos, and egg. Stir in browned beef; pour into the prepared baking dish.

Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 1 hour.
